Option to hide inactive funds in selection drop-down

  This would be extremely useful for funds and other configuration entities (e.g. campaigns, products, etc) that have been marked as inactive. At the very least, it would be good to have this as a permission - some organisations may wish their administrators to have access to inactive items in a list, for example, but may wish to hide these from standard users or viewer users.

  And also, for those orgs which are actively trying to cut down from, let's say, 500 funds+ to about 50 funds it would be great to be able to limit what people have options to put donations towards, so we don't end up with one fund with a £5 donation that never goes anywhere

  I agree inactive items should be hidden when entering new details, such as transactions.
  
  However, inactive items would still need to appear in some areas, such as list filters.

  As an added bonus, maybe a Configuration could be set for an installation as to whether to hide inactive items from drop downs. Some companies may want to have inactive items available, some not - a Configuration setting would be the best of both worlds. If inactive items selected to be not shown, then I agree with Martin on 22 Feb that Inactive items should still be available in List filter drop downs
