Reduce number of activities added to timeline from Dot.digital integration

At the moment when an email is sent through dot.digital it creates an activity for
Email sent, Email clicked & Email opened.
Would it be possible to minimise the number of activities being recorded?
For example, could we have just one activity per email, but then within the activity itself have options to update if the email was opened & clicked.
Over time it will affect the efficiency of Donorfy, as the more activities there are on a timeline the longer it takes for records to open.
